Sicily and the Sicilian sea. The beaches and other places or objects strongly related to the sea photographed from afar, but not so far from not allowing the senses and moods to bounce on the places photographed. Up close, but always with sufficient distance to not contaminate the scene; out of season; in the middle of summer, indifferently with the light of the early morning, midday or afternoon, with the sirocco or the summer sun. That of these photographs is not an imaginary world, * Somewhere in Sicily * is an "open" collection of images that tell the relationship with myself, with human beings, with the Sicilian land and its light. The places photographed are not intentionally indicated in order to stimulate an effort in the analysis of the images to recognize the places and, at the same time, to transfer the characteristics that make Sicily iconic.

La Sicilia e il mare siciliano. Le spiagge e altri luoghi o oggetti fortemente legati al mare fotografati da lontano, ma non così lontano da non permettere ai sensi e agli stati d'animo di rimbalzare sui luoghi fotografati. Da vicino, ma sempre con una distanza sufficiente a non contaminare la scena; fuori stagione; in piena estate, indifferentemente con la luce del primo mattino, di mezzogiorno o del pomeriggio, con lo scirocco o con il sole estivo. Quello di queste fotografie non è un mondo immaginario, *Somewhere in Sicily* è una raccolta "aperta" di immagini che raccontano il rapporto con me stesso, con gli esseri umani, con la terra siciliana e la sua luce. Volutamente non sono indicati i luoghi fotografati così da stimolare ad uno sforzo nell'analisi delle immagini per riconoscere i luoghi e, allo stesso tempo, trasferire le caratteristiche che rendono iconica la Sicilia.
